Thought for food

At Studio Certain, we don’t just create brands that look great, we build brands that continue to perform long after our work is done.

With keen commercial insight and next-level creative, our most impactful work with F&B startups and scale-ups happens when we’re brought in as a strategic and creative partner.

From brand strategy and positioning through to visual identity, packaging, digital presence, and campaign execution, we develop standout brands that connect emotionally with consumers and translate into tangible growth.

In short, we make brands impossible to ignore.

When he came to us, Steve Drake had a vision of a restaurant centred around seasonal modern British tasting menus, set in a beautiful 300-year-old building in Dorking. From articulating the aspiration behind the culinary concept through to designing all restaurant collateral and developing the website, we brought Sorrel to life.

Working closely with Steve and his interior design team, we drew inspiration from his story, his wonderful food, and the unique beauty of the local scenery. With a simple and unpretentious look and feel and a passionate yet understated tone of voice, the brand we created was built around the proposition ‘Simplicity inspired by discovery’.

Micah, founder and director, came to us with a name, a place, and an ambition - for Pavilion to become a future icon of the Henley-on-Thames high street. More than just a shop, he wanted this deli, fine-food store, and cookery school to be a celebration of simple, seasonal ingredients and delicious delicacies skilfully prepared.

From an illustrative logo that changes with the seasons to intricately crafted deli labels, we created a brand that was fully rooted in nature, drawing on Micah’s passion for locally-sourced produce and desire to create a space where people could come together and celebrate their love of good food.
